In RainbowsA Poem by Sujash I. PurnaThere are more beautiful things I haven’t yet seenViolet to navy blue… When days flee, nights loom… Cloudless, with stars’ winks At a motionless, mountainous space With pine trees and other woods Some distant bulwark of age-old woods Silhouette time, silhouette past. I stand here, on the porch of a smoking hut And she calls me, a disembodied deity Mother Nature or a lover of past Ushering me to move on and see She draws her sky with hues in a spree She draws herself in the sky Rainbows in a starry night And passages of time… They mingle, they swarm, they make me delight Their warm glows on my visage When her voice calls me again Her voice that echoes on hills oozes love She draws her sky with rainbows above There are more beautiful things I haven’t yet seen Then as if a bird she flaps her iridescent wings As the rainbows start slowly moving In red blue green, in red blue green In rainbows my dreams, in rainbows they swim… © 2011 Sujash I.
