Life

Life is full of challenges,
so did he realize;
and set a target for himself –
achieving it would suffice.

Set out to climb a mountain tall,
reaching its peak, he would be above all.
Daunting task it was;
but peak he could see; how could he pause?

After a lot of struggle,
after crossing many hurdles;
he finally reached the top –
Above the madding crowd; far above the mob!

Shouldn’t he be happy?
Shouldn’t he be satisfied?
Yes, but his heart wasn’t filled!
For now he could see a peak higher still.

Life is full of challenges,
so did he realize,
and set a target for himself –
Would achieving it suffice?
