Freedom

Freedom

A Poem by Sumo

You always told me, do this do that
While all you did was just sit back

I did it over and over again
I've learned my lesson and repented my sin

No longer together I stand as one
I must admit at first it was fun

Apart from you in all alone
But now I feel free, no longer a drone

Even though I now have no other
It took all this for me to discover

I have value, I have worth
Once over this, I'll no longer hurt

Taking pride in who I am and what I have to offer
Knowing that I'll one day have a relationship that'll prosper

You may not of wanted what's mine to give
But know this, I've won because I still live

I'm happier now than ever before
I know now, I'm better off. Now that we're no more
