It isn't about finding the perfect person, but learning to see an imperfect person perfectly.
We all have our flaws but you are perfect to me.

Our differences make us who are are
In my darkest of nights you're my shining star

You shine bright, guiding my way
Keeping all the sadness at bay

Toward you, the destination of our paths
Overcoming all the hurt from our pasts

Triumphant finally, from those long fought battles
Out of the darkness out of the shadows

Light engulfs us, warming our souls
Happiness found together we glow

Constantly reminding ourselves of what's worthy
Taking our time, sure not to hurry

Confident for once our hearts been mended
This love shall always be defended

Gods path finally revealed
Thanks to him, both of us healed

I fell, I faltered, years of disbelief
Grateful for Gods persistence, I've found relief

Trials and tribulations
Feeling as though I was living revelations

Peace of mind, body and soul
For it is Jesus who's made me whole
Finally allowing him to be in control
