Friends and family in our lives only see portions of our lives
Mere moments we spend together in time

What's truly in our hearts, our minds and at home remain unseen
Only shared with our partners in private, said between

For each of us our relationships are more than the moments others see
The laughter, the tears, the heartfelt moments that bring us to our knees

Those long late night conversations, expressing each other's love
The sweet kisses and loving touch is what we're made of

Our only concern is that we are happy with one another
That our love makes us feel like there would never be no other

Loving support through life's hard times
Returned when needed, in kind

Someone that gets you and accepts all your quirks
Someone willing to figure out what works

Keep the blessings of God just as close as your love in your heart
Think of each obstacle as a chance at a new start

I pray to stay on God's predetermined course
And thank him daily for what makes us, behind closed doors
