I look at you and I flood with emotions
Tears begin to fall filling the oceans

My heart beat rises like the tide
Love emanating first from deep inside

My soul shines bright at a mere glance
Hands held tight as we enjoy this dance

Each moment a gift for the next is not promised
We are rough stones, waiting to be polished

We may rub each other the wrong way on occasion
But we can't become gems without some abrasion

I'm your Diamond and you're my Sapphire
Together shining bright, we'll forge our empire

One may take more time than the other
Have patience and you will discover

Eventually our love will be a glorious testament
Showing anyone who questioned this investment

Your happiness worth more than words can say
Are but a few words I utter when I pray

Willingness to be the best man I can be
This I hope I show by actions you can see

Im not perfect, but I will always strive
To give you everything you need, I can provide

With these words yet another poem written
Know that you will have me forever smitten
