The Endless

this is an I-want-to-sleep-for-the-rest-of-my-life poem.

 

I want to walk naked alone along an endless shore

 in an endless dawn,

and look out across an endless sea

without anything to run from or to.

To feel the fresh breeze and comforting rays lightly caress my skin.

To hear the waves gently break on the shore

and the siren’s song float softly through the air.

To see miles of empty beach before and behind me.

To smell the salt stirring in the ocean.

I want to exist endlessly in a perpetual state of peace, comfort, and contentment.

I want to walk naked through The Endless.
