Color of Tears

I wrote this poem while staring at the cover of my diary

A symphony of tears

Roll down the empty canvas of her face

Staining her cheeks the colors of emotion

Filling the air with the sweet perfume of unsaid pleas

 

Red tears of rage spill from the deep unknown of her eyes

Twisting her pretty face into a mask of pain and confusion.

 

Tears of blue rain down in a storm of heartbreak

Staining the silk of her hair of all the nights alone wondering if he still thinks of her

 

Droplets of yellow and pink happiness never stop spilling as she sees her best friend

The tears that are the cement eternally bonding them together

 

A storm of tears dyed green drizzle steadily as her wants for the future blossom in front of someone else.

 

All the tears swirl together in a brilliant rainbow of the soul’s true colors
