Chapter 1:

 

I hurried down the street my blonde curly hair bouncing on my shoulders. I was late again, on meeting Andrew.  I groaned in frustration. I looked around on the busy street of Metropolis. I dunked into an ally and got into my super girl outfit. There was some robbery downtown and Andrew aka Superman needed my help.

 

I flew up into the air feeling the wind go through my hair. I mean being Super girl was alright but all i wanted to be was normal. Was that too hard to ask for? I landed softy next to the bank to see 3 men with ski mask on. I lifted one eyebrow. Wow this was easy. They started running down the street but me and Andrew were right on their tails.

 

I flew off into the air getting a bolder from nearby construction. I threw it to Andrew. He almost dropped the rock but saved it before anyone could get hurt. I was hoping it can stop them from escaping if he drops it in front of them.

 

"Sophia we will talk about this later." He flew off wile I just floated there. I swear he had some problems. I flew hope. I knew he was going to talk to me about how I need to be less cocky and more serious. I’ve had the talk so many times.

 

I landed in the backyard to have my white German shepherd run up to me,

 

"Hey baby girl” Akira was giving me that puppy dog grin while wagging her tail. She had been affected by kryptonite just like me and Andrew.

 

"Sophia we need to talk to you." Kate and Mark walked on the Terries’. They were my 'aunt and uncle'. Well that’s what we tell everyone else. They really adopted me after Andrew kind of saved me, I sighed following them inside. Andrew was sitting on the couch his hands folded.

 

"We have talked so many times. Do you even pay attention?" Andrew looked up at me. His brown eyes staring deeply into mine.

 

"Yes I do-"

 

"Then why don’t you stop?!" Andrew was now standing his hands in his hair.  I didn’t know what to say so he kept on going. "You need to stop being late! You need to stop thinking that you can do everything on your own! You need to stop thinking that everything is so easy!"

 

He turned around not looking at me.

 

"Fine, if you want me to stop. I'll stop! So don’t ask me for anymore help Andrew!" I stormed off down the hallway and slammed my door plopping myself on my bed. I stared up at the ceiling.

 

Akira came flying in. Her tail wagging while landing on my bed. "Hey girl" I scratched behind her ear. She looked at me with her chocolate brown eyes and started barking at the window. I looked behind me to see Lily knocking at it.

 

I walked over climbing out the window.

 

"Hey Lils" She nodded her head.

 

"So what’s been going on with you and Andrew?" I sighed, I didn’t really feel like talking about it but she was my best friend.

 

So I told her everything.

 

"Yep so that’s it." We were already far away from my house, and Akria was getting a little worried.

 

"Alright well I got to get back home, see you." I and Akira walked home leaving Lilly.

A pretty good start to a story. Have you ever heard the expression of showing versus telling. Be more description, and try to reduce the amount of I's in the story. Also character names come before I. For example I and Akira should be Akira and I walked home leaving Lilly behind. More descriptive words would really help. I like the story, and the superhero theme. Also you created a new spin on the genre which is great. Keep it up.
