The void

The moments spent with you
have melted like ice melts into water
and dried up in the amber
of sunlight, filtering through your fingers.

I look at you once again
with dreamy eyes,
a hopeful smile,
teary words and a heavy heart

Your hand is no longer slipped into mine…
You walk ahead
I am left behind,

Leaving my heart
parched for just
a little of your love!
