If I Were...

I love to dabble in children's stories and songs so here is a children's song I wrote.

If I was the sunshine I'd keep you warm
If I was a sailboat I'd carry you home
If I was the strong earth I'd hold you to the sky
And if I was a bluebird I'd give you wings to fly

If I was a songbird I'd sing for you each day
If I was the bright star I'd light your way
If I was the pale moon I'd glow for you above
And if I was a big heart I'd give you all my love
