BETRAYALA Poem by Roger TurgeonJust reviewing the facts ( : O )BETRAYAL Lies to my face uttered by you so bold Excuses offered up, the truth never told Words whispered in my ear, altering my perception Served only to aid you in your deception Strange numbers on your phone, just a friend you’d boast Calls not returned when I needed you the most Unproven alibies spoken without hesitation Like a fool I trusted you …without reservation Betrayal!!! How could you and be so smug? As you stabbed me in the heart, like a common thug Do I mean so little? I wasn’t given a thought All of our time together….all of it for naught © 2014 Roger TurgeonReviews
