Love's Door

Love's Door

A Poem by In Em's Wonderland

A howling rainy void,
I stood outside Love's Door
afraid to find no one there.
Wherever I go, I keep
hearing this violin to
the airless space beyond.
Spring, but still cold.
I'm keeping quiet
having a cappuccino
& a cigarette.
In the distance, a rainbow.
I sat outside Love's Door
with my feelings,
like a vinyl stuck on repeat.
So, what do I want?
When all is said & done--
hear your words divine.
Come & say my name.
Somewhere by the sea
you pass through fogs.
How I end a poem.

Reading this poem felt like being seated in a quiet café on a rainy day, watching life move in slow motion. It’s introspective, vulnerable, and quietly powerful. The final line, “How I end a poem,” lands like a sigh—simple, honest, and perfect.
