Footprints in Sand

Footprints in Sand

A Poem by In Em's Wonderland

Bare feet in honey-speckled sand
while I walk alongside nature's pool.
A piece of me awakened.
Little did I know,
my heart was sold.
Without all that bad love,
my soul did a jig.
My silent heart wept.
Now I know better what
it takes to exist,
for me to have a better life.
The essence of truth
(once soft & vulnerable)
begging to come out.
Smelling the fresh earth.
Sun rising high, high
as I watch my prints disappear.
