IcyA Poem by Swarnim ChettriWintering through life
It’s January
Cold and dark The Sun isn’t amused And the flowers have all dried. The only thing that could’ve survived The cactus you gifted Has choked Of overwatering. I’m here caressing its pricks Apologizing for being overbearing And on my lap lay thousands of Withered petals Of the flowers that I forgot to water. © 2022 Swarnim ChettriAuthor's Note
