A Poem by Lily

As I walked through the night,

His eyes shone bright.

As I looked into his eyes,

He sighed at my cries.

He turned away in the dark,

Nothing was there not even a mark,

The only sign was in my heart.

In the night was a man with a dart,

That killed my first love,

That I met in a cove.

One night I layed down

With a small frown.

As I slept my poor heart,

Found that it has done its part,

And so I passed away,

Now as far as today

You can still see,

How I drifted with a plea,

Into the bright light,

Of the starry night

To be with my love,

My first and only love.

Very nice, bittersweet. I like it. It has a good rhyming scheme to it. And the flow is smooth.
