Child Within

Child Within

A Poem by Lily

As I rode towards a small little house,

I saw a little mouse.

and to my surprise a wolf following it.

but the wolf got hit.

the wolf was alright,

but gave me a fright.

Then late at the night there was a scratch at my roof

I walked outside and there was the wolf.

He pushed me aside

and went on inside

he ran around the room

and then there was a boom.

He calmed down and layed down by the fire

He didn't seem like a liar,

rather like a child,

abandoned to live alone.

I really like this one. It stirs a feeling of wonderment within me. Good poems do that, in my opinion. Perhaps just clean up the punctuation and tighten the longer lines, and this would be awesome. I really do like this one. Great job, you have a wonderful imagination.
