Life

A Poem by Lily

I miss the feeling of butterflies,

instead of the feeling when your heart dies.

I miss hugging you and whispering I love you in your ear,

just loud enough for you to hear.

I miss holding hands,

while wearing our matching bands

I cry so much my tears could fill a stream,

as I sleep I see the same old dream

Are my dreams real?

Or are they losing feel?

I wish I could go back on that road,

and fix the love that is now an ugly load

Like the writer below me said, this is really bittersweet. I think you did a great job with it. Good work!

Definitely bittersweet, but I think you capture the emotion really, really well in this one.
