What's Left of Me (Revised)

What's Left of Me (Revised)

A Poem by Lily

Is this really what's left of me?

Is this what other people see?

A girl who left her dreams behind,

Who is losing her mind.

Has Life always been this way,

Always setting life at bay?

As I let all my hopes run,

To slowly burn in the sun.

This is my last chance,

With romance.

If I forget my dreams,

I will drown in my screams.

Does love ever last,

Or will this lie in my past?

My heart's blood

Will forever flood

The floor,

Behind this door.

Sounds like a tormented teen. I see potential in your work. This feels like a memory of younger days. A good write.
