Shadows of the Moon

I walked within the shadows of the moon

when I was as fresh as the midnight air~

When love, mysteriously beautiful

blossomed like the horizon

with a pink particle glow...

 

Kisses as moist as the dew of dawn

caressed like a blue lotus in moonlight~

Until the fate of love flowed like teardrops

upon passion I had bestowed on you...

The wind softly kissed my tears away

with forbidden lips of discreet~

But secrets past are meant to fade

and only breath of midnight winds

whisper in the twilight hour...

Such a sublime write...melancholy and yet starkly hopeful. The imagery was exquisit. I love the idea of "blossoms like the horizon/with a pink particle glow", because that is such an apt description for some of the beautiful sunsets that I see each and every day; there are the fiery ones, but there are also the soft, enchanting ones that just seem to slip into infinity.

Only suggestion: The 5th stanza--the use of "love" twice here caught my eye and made me stumble a little.

Overall, beautifully written in your unique poetic style.

this is so sad...the lost love...the moonless sky...

last night i looked up at the sky...not a moon in sight...it was a new moon and too close to the sun.

maybe love is that way...we get too close to the sun and it burns us...and puts a shadow on our moon...or over our moon...

and we ask...where is the light?
