Ballet of the Whales

Moonlight breeze flowing over sea of sheen

shadow's dance gracefully across the moon

a humpback whale in warm waters serene

song of whales sing to a tropical tune

Bottleneck dolphins sing in harmony

endangered species dive deep in blue sea

hiding from harpoons, blood and agony

Pod of whales patiently sing for appease

The ballet of sperm whales upon the stage

the Prima Ballerina in the night

serenaded by the bull, hormones rage

they migrate in the warm waters of moonlight

Migrating whales ballet in sea of blue

Pray not a swan song of their Pas de deux .

[Coyote Poetry]

A beautiful poem for the whales. I was station in Monterey, Ca.. I would go to the peaks of Pacific Grove and watch the whale swim by. Many of us would sit and wait for them. I hope we protect the whale and all the creatures of our earth. Thank you for the amazing poetry.

i love any program about animals...i like pbs most because they air no ads...and animal planet has all these cretins chasing turtles and hedgehogs and skunks these days...na d idiots who piss their pants while fishing...reality tv is destroying our minds
