The Stage of Autumn

Upon the rustic stage of autumn

graceful leaves perform their ballet

 

as they tip toe toward winter

in an allegro con spirito way~

 

Fragrant embers intoxicate

the wind within the majestic sky

 

as jack o lanterns light the stage

ballerinas in the wind dance by~

 

She practices her pirouettes

in her tutu of gold and reds

 

Naked limbs dance their arabesque

upon the gingery stage of autumn~
