Oh Autumn!

• 

I hear the rhythm of the leaves

tantalizing in the breeze,

and it won’t be very long

as autumn dances

 to her striptease song~

 

Oh autumn, please serenade me!

Rustle your skirt of gold and red ember

as you say good bye to September__

Cha Cha your slender limbs

as you self- indulge your whims~

Oh autumn, please dance for me!

 

While you are posing bare

with just a few leaves in your hair
and essence of ginger perfume,
within the smoke and ashes

except for your branches
is the memory

 of yesterday's

 bloom~

Acutualy its just beginning...the leaves are turning gold and I can't wait for them to become red as they look so beautiful...we are suppose to have a cold snowy winter this year but thats what they said last year and it didn't snow here in Virginia like it was suppose to...Just have to wait and see.

autumn is also my favorite time (once i let go of thoughts of what comes next) :} your poem freshens my memory as I sit here at the computer...I do hear the leaves talk and dance...i do smell the perfume of ginger and wood smoke... and gaze awestruck as she strips...and as she unveils her nakedness it saddens instead of excites me.. :)) grateful for you sharing this Syber.

Okay, I'm not sure are there more poems about love or autumn? It has to be a close tie. Only you could turn it in to a strip tease dance, lol, which you certainly pulled off here. My other question why did you not portray it as a man, coming from your perspective as a woman?

Haa....Well the name Autumn sounds more like a womans name than a mans ...I never thought of Autumn as being a man...Ill have to try and imagine that one Mike...:)
