Letter to the Darkest One

Just a random thought of a friend of mine.

 

I’m sorry I ever loved you

And I’m sorry I caused you pain

I’m sorry I ever revealed to you

The feelings I cannot explain.

I am surely certain you love her

And you feel nothing for me

But I find myself envying her

Behind the façade you cannot read.

No, I am not sorry I’m human

I am not sorry I can't hide

My feelings are only human

Or of one who’s already died.

And one day you will join me

And with one stormy gust

Your mind and body will fuse with me

In cyclones of swirling dust.

And when it is, we will again

Attempt to finally converse

And be finally free to speak again

Without the lines rehearsed
