Runaway

Wrote this in like... 5 mins after listening to J Cole - Runaway. It just kinda came into my head...

Runaway.
Runaway from this perception of reality.
When I say I'm broke,
I'm not talking my salary.
I'm talking about myself,
And the shattered concept of humanity.

Because in this world
where the majority rules,
which way is right
when the majority is fooled?
Who do you turn to
when the lefts are all wrong,
and the only thing you can relate to,
are the words in a song?

When you have an answer,
come and find me in the beat.
The bassline beat matching
the rhythm of my feet.
But this isn't on some dance s**t,
and these aren't dancing lyrics
I'm just trying to escape.
I'm running.
Runaway.

Very nice. It is a good cathartic poem, raw and intense. It harkens to loss of innocence, revealing downtrodden-ness. Then owns the "runaway", pushing off of the useless distraction to head toward truth and self. Thank you

People can be quick to segregate you and make you feel small, we have two hands two eyes a nose a mouth two legs not that different at all really...to me this is about the colour of our skins and an important topic of conversation and should not be happening in our world today... great written piece.
