Forever Young

Inspired by a Jay Z song of the same name, I wrote this because my friends made me write a speech for my birthday.

I want to live forever.
I don’t mean grow old eternally,
but stay right here, right now.
In this moment, and the ones before it.
I want to be free to relive them,
in action and in memory,
with friends, new and old.
All the while creating new experiences
to be laughed, cried, and debated upon.
I want to live forever through my actions.
I want the things I’ve done in this life
to echo endlessly, all the while getting quieter,
but never fading from existence.
I want to live forever.
And to everyone here now,
and to those who live in our memories,
drink, laugh, smile, sing,
and help me create another moment
that will never die.
