Rene sighed as she stepped up to the front of West High School.  Rene Hava was a junior student who just moved to Cape Coral, Florida.  Her parents, Sarah and Andrew McDavidson, heard that West High was popular.  They said that this would be a great chance to make friends.
"Come on, Rene," said Andrew.  "You need to get out more and make new friends!  Stop being all absorbed inside and shy."
Rene sticked out her tongue and turned around.  Andrew's jaw dropped and Sarah patted his back, calming him down.  After Sarah calmed her husband down, she walked over to Rene and gave her a hug.  "Please do this for us, Rene?  It's a new promotion for your dad," said Sarah.
Rene sighed and crossed her arms.  "Fine, I will try, but I don't garantee it."
Sarah smiled at Andrew, who was jumping around saying, "My daughter's becoming more open!"
Rene sighed again and went up to her room and closed the door. Man. . . How annoying, are all parents like this? she thought to herself.  She sat down at her desk and looked at her new schedule for classes tomorrow.

Rene headed down the hallways to her first period class, biology. She bumped into a chesnut-haired boy and dropped her books.  Two kids walked by, laughing at Rene.  Rene blushed furiously and bent down to pick up her books.  The chesnut-haired boy also bent down to help her.
"Are you alright?" he asked.  Rene looked up and saw his innocent face.  He had a little acne on his forehead and an average body, wearing a red hoodie and jeans. She noticed a dimple showed when he smiled sweetly.
"Y-yeah.  Thank you," studdered Rene, hurrying off.
"Wait!" shouted the chestnut-haired boy, catching up to Rene.  As he caught up, Rene turned to face him with her flushed face and annoyence in her eyes.  "What's your name?"
"My name's R-Rene.  What about you?"  Rene started to walk off again, with the boy right beside her.
"Timothy.  Call me Tim for short."  Tim smiled at Rene, and she blushed, but turned her head towards him after she went pale again.  "What class do you have?"
    "Biology."
"Me too!  Let's walk there together then."
As they walked together to biology, Tim always smiled at Rene and talked occasionally. We look odd together, thought Rene. She looked over Tim's hansome features with him smiling.  Then, she looked over her features.  She was really pale, jet black hair down to her waist, and her bangs always covering up her eyes when she hangs her head.  Rene was always delicate and fragile, always easy for her to get hurt.
Tim caught Rene's eye and smiled at her. Rene blushed again and turned her head so Tim wouldn't see. All of the sudden, Tim stopped in front of a door that said 'Room 109.' Rene bumped into Tim again and fell over. "Here we are," said Tim, helping Rene up.
Rene brushed herself as she got up and looked at the biology door. Tim opened the door and said, "Ladies first."
Rene walked in, with Tim behind her, into the bustling, active room. "Well, I'll catch you later, Rene!" said Tim, running to
his friends. Rene nervously walked up to the teacher and said, "Um. . . I'm new to the school and. . ."
"Your Miss McDavidson, correct?" interrupted the biology teacher. Rene nodded. "Good to have you in my class, I'm Mr. Helincoff."
Mr. Helincoff stood up and the class immediately went quiet. He put a hand on Rene's shoulder and firmly said, "This is our newest student, Miss Rene. Can someone give Rene a tour of the school later?"
Tim raised his hand and was waving it furiously. Mr. Helincoff sighed audibly. "Okay, Tim. You can give Rene a tour now if you want." He walked up to Rene, grabbed her hand, and walked out of the class as Mr. Helincoff began his morning lecture.
Rene raised an eyebrow at his gesture but followed him anyways. "Why are we in such a rush?" she said, as Tim kept pulling her down the hallway.
"You don't want to be caught in Mr. Helincoff's lecture." Tim sent Rene a dazzling smile and she almost was blinded by it.
As he kept pulling her down the hallway fast, Rene felt a dark presence nearby that sent chills. Soon a dark shadow overwhelmed them. Fearfully, she looked behind her and saw a muscular, tall man behind her. He grabbed her and Tim was halted by it. He looked around slowly to look up at the man.
"You forgot your promise, weakling agent."

Tim clutched Rene in terror as he looked at the man.
"You forgot your promise, weakling agent," said the man in a deep, booming voice that seemed like it growled. Rene whipped her head towards Tim in surprise.
"What promise?" Rene managed to squeak out in fear. The man looked straight at her with fierce, intense eyes. Tim looked at him with calmness.
"I don't remember any promise." Tim said, as he tried to pull Rene away from the man's clutches.

Seems too much like Twilight. And the beggining starts off a little awkward, you're telling the reader, not showing. Maybe instead of, "Rene sighed as she stepped up to the front of West High School. Rene Hava was a junior student who just moved to Cape Coral, Florida. " Rene's chest tightened as she took her first step into West High. Her heart raced. Who knew, she thought, that just moving to somewhere new could be this...frightening?" Just a thought. Good job though, and good luck!
