There have been many references in ancient civilizations to the goddess feminine...and the moon
Woman of poetic myth
Woman of ancient culture
lady of the wild things haunting the mountain tops
she who purifies
take my spirit
Mistress of the words of power
keeper of the old ways
who made light from her feathers
enter my soul
Fill me with your gifts of spoken language
the memories of the ancients
the beauty and the passion
the taste of love and death
My muse
continue to inspire me
bring forth the power from inside
because poets are born not made
and in the light of this moon tonight
is the magic of civilizations remembered
this is such a powerful poem with inspiration shown all over it. Someone else like me gets inspiration from the powers of the moon.
The cool thing about this poem is that it doesn'y have to rhym to make it great. Rhyming makes the rhythm but the message in this one is powerful. Woman of the moon... make me feel strength... I welcome the power from the night.
I had to read this over, just to let the images soak in completely, just to make sure I didn't miss a thing. This is a lovely poem and you are a talented writer.
See, you got this Venusian thing going. Us Neanderthals, slugging it out in the pits and depths of despair. And you women having all the fun; up floating on clouds, venting (the social kind), ruling the world, running free in Nature, hugging trees and cats. I see this whole mythical thing more as a checks and balance thing. Where Thunder and Arrows clash, or even wax melts. It takes the balance to keep things going.
Just musing.

Very well written love anything that has to show women in a positive and great light. This world would be a better place and women ruled in the open istead of being the driving force in man. Good write. I look forward to a great friendship.
It's a wonderful journey this becoming, It's part letting go of who I was, while releasing the beliefs that sabotage what I want to be, and-knowiing that in order to transform, I can't live in b.. more..
