The First of SpringA Poem by TitusThe so-called first spring plants, and the race to come out first.To ‘Winter Sweet’, ‘Christmas Cheer', do tell..., Upon the first of spring, their breaking with, Tradition, the first sighting will begin to live, Within a means, so shyly snowdrops, - they’ll Begin springs’ first new plight, - the daffodils, Could ill afford the spring these sudden chills, They lift their trumpets high, -- a little more Before they make a sound, the first my friend, Becomes to wanton fetch a grouped will send, Out waves you’re not prepared for, ‘Hellebore’. There is this magic in the air, it stirs one back, To our first love methinks the spring did track.
