Love's True Mistress

Love's True Mistress

     TO LOVE'S TRUE MISTRESS

(Truest Devotion)

We SHALL Have Time Enough, And Worlds.

With life and dreams fulfilled, and love.

My love, on dreams we'll fly, we'll float suspended,

rehearse our love with schemes sweet only as Love's.

For I'll find you.  In your soft abode you wait.

With strong strides Romance arrives.

Our love -- so true --  has defeated Time and Place.

Even the moon & the tide succumb to us.

A sea could be filled with our tears of joy,

no mountain strong-hold could hide our laughter,

nor rage of storm decrease our heat.

'Til Greenland's solid mantle melt,

or redwoods tumble to dust,

Love's conjugation in our hearts will show.

No comparable Love in Infinity will ever be found.

Oh, Heart of Love,  make numberless our kisses.

Let my Passion be expended on your Desire 'til sated!

Oh, sweet hollows, soft breasts and lips and ears,

I'm beside and with you and in your heart.

Pulse tells pulse the same command:

true Ardor, Passion unrehearsed, thundering,  hovering

at our ears, echoing from out of Eternity:

"Come!  Let's range & explore vistas in Love's vast Evermore!"

Such Beauty of paired hearts was unknown.  Not since Early Eden.

God is Love, and Man's love is the same Virtue.

So let us love in Perfection, or as best we can.

Promise our all to be our truest.

All of emotions, gains and losses shall build us truer.

In Time's twilight at Time's close,

when olive-branch and the thorn and the rose are all laid down,

at the Dawn of The Newly Created World,

We SHALL Have World Enough, And Time.

When you are my mistress.

This is breathtaking, so very beautiful and romantic. A true expression of a heart longing for passion and love. Your words are exquisite. I'm not good with love poems, they always seem to turn sinister; but you, you take this precious emotion to another realm. Definitely going into my faves. I truly enjoyed reading this.

It had a dream like feel to it, and to be honest I couldn't really get into it or find any connection. But then again, I'm not in love so that might be way. Good imagery though.
