Body Language

Body Language

A Poem by Zach Gordano

As I see you here on stage,
Tears come rolling down my cheek.
You sway just as it sounds,
To get up and move the crowd.
You do not have to say a word.
It is like another language,
And you speak more beautifully than any Romance.
It warms me inside,
That you devote your life,
Passionate beyond belief.
Remember when I cried to you?
You told me to dry my tears,
Nothing would ever get in the way.
Oh, how your body language
Screams otherwise.
I was right this whole time.
I knew that I was losing you,
Slowly.
So fly for now above.
Soar to greatest heights.
Do what you love.
It's all you got.
But the same is true for me.
And what I love
Is you.
Passionate beyond belief.
I will never let you down.
Stay soaring because
We will fly again.
Locomote into my soul.
Move so lightly to the beat
Of my racing heart.
Will you save a dance for me?
When the music starts,
Again.
