The Tragedy Of...

The Tragedy Of...

A Poem by Zach Gordano

I gave up what I believe in
Just to have you.
And once I saw what I wanted,
I never turned back.

A tyrannical rampage of love.
I would kill for you.
You told me you would
Kill for me too.

But now you are gone,
Out of sight.
And the bloodshed was
Not worth this pain.

I love you more than
Words can express.
When you died,
I chose not to move on.

I can go on no longer.
Let the kingdom fall.
I do not care the fate of the rest,
For I cannot bear to stand without you.

So as the woods move upon me now,
And my reign cascades,
The eternal love I have for you, my Lady,
Will not pass into enemy hands.
