Oh Grandfather

Oh Grandfather

A Poem by TTBoy28

Oh Grandfather Clock,

Oh Grandfather

My how time flies

You wiped your hands

Upon these lands

Dear you, I despise

Oh Grandfather Clock,

Oh Grandfather

What secrets do you hold

You walked the walk

Made many balk

Your photos show you so cold

Oh Grandfather Clock,

Oh Grandfather

My the riches you own

You are a constant reminder

of a proud soul finder

Poor is the lineage that has grown

Oh Grandfather Clock,

Oh Grandfather

tick tock, tick tock

It's the voice of the sound

that keeps them bound

to that strong invisible lock

Oh Grandfather Clock,

Oh Grandfather

What happens when you stop

Will someone come in

to restore you then

Or will they let the ball drop?
