Paying homage

Paying homage

A Poem by TTBoy28

The lies we tell ourselves

when we take talents from the shelves

that don't belong to us

Pretending to be gregarious

when ultimately obviously precarious

for them it is deemed a must

Not to dismay

but I do want to relay

that there is something you can do

You know the way

reach out and say, "Hey!"

even return a quip or two

We might all be in the same boat

some in a town so remote

that this is a high for them

Don't ruin this minute

by taking what you didn't put in it

some put their hearts out on a limb

The truth shall set you free. I try to be adventurous. I am spontaneous. I love nature but love to write only about personal events. You can tell when something is made up. It could still sound g.. more..
