My Bestest Little Friend

My Bestest Little Friend

A Poem by TTBoy28

It came a point when she

felt she had to separate herself from me

Though allowing me to keep her company

by taking her on walks in the park to relieve herself

was joy enough

Yet, that was not my walk

and though she did not want to walk

did not mean she did not want to

go with me

And because I loved her company

it meant the world to me to carry her

on my walk

which became our walk

And when I was done

she still had time to do what

she needed to do

because I loved her company
