The Confines of the Library

The Confines of the Library

A Poem by TTBoy28

An easy getaway

Give excuses

For the uses

To checkout anything

 And anytime

Anybody

If you so wish

With fantasies

Daydreams

No computer necessary

They do provide

Unless

Corner clandestine behavior

Invites favor

To savor

Still, an education

In humiliation

Silence

No defiance

Headphones to mask the grunts

And punts

Makeup on the black eyes

At closing time

Come darker skies

Takeout

Checkout

Get out

Tomorrow’s just another day

To be seen but not heard

In a place quite like home

But at least they do smile

Up till closing
