Failed Attempts

Failed Attempts

A Poem by TTBoy28

What new failed attempt can

I make today

Can I say a prayer to God

that He starts looking down below

to find the light

through all this darkness

Or can I just assume

that He knows what we are doing

Or should I share with one

what my New Year’s resolution

was and if I kept it or not

Maybe I’ll just read the Bible

and meditate until I see

a deep blue light

But then again

I could just put a potato

on the couch in my place

to watch life imitating art

I wish I had the constant stamina

to maintain my own growth

Nursing Homes are always

in need of caregivers

I could always turn in

Crazy people

I mean really crazy beings

Psycho

the people everybody else

avoids worse than the plague

But then

I was always told that

God knows it all

And He will make himself

known when He is ready

What a great failed attempt

to believe He would walk again
