I Wouldn't Do That To You

I Wouldn't Do That To You

A Poem by TTBoy28

lyrics

"

When partners are at war

Because of something that made

Their hearts sore

I Wouldn’t Do That To You

When eyes meet

But two people are afraid to speak

So they choose the shoes on their feet

I Wouldn’t Do That To You

(chorus)

I wouldn’t do that to you

No matter what’s on my mind

I want you to be true

Even if I step out of line

I wouldn’t do that to you

No matter where the attention flows

I want you to be true

From the top of your head down to your toes

When you eat your favorite meal

Will you think of me?

And if you ever need to feel real

I’m here for you, in me you can believe

And when you lie in your bed all alone

With visions of bouncing plums all but blue

Don’t torture your head, pick up the phone

Because I wouldn’t do that to you

Just let me come to you

I could do the same

It’s just that you have such a funny way

I know this might sound lame

But I’d rather be alone than hurt you any day
