You put it in the MailboxA Poem by TTBoy28I guess I shouldn’t be too upset But you said you would call Some would say I should feel blessed Is it me who keeps putting up a wall
Sometimes the way you do it Expressing yourself as sly as a fox Makes me want to seek a conduit Affection comes when you put it in the mailbox
So, I get love someone else has written Some would be so happy at the thought Behind the doorbell I await all smitten Just a drop-off is what you brought
Rabbits will often run At the sight of a grinning fox You take away all the fun When you put it in the mailbox
If only you’d see me as a gentle hare You’d cross over all your rocks And meet me with time to spare Before putting something in the mailbox
Maybe I should become a bear Or add some foolish locks It’ll all be done with loving care Because of what you put in the mailbox
