They All Told Me, "No!"A Poem by TTBoy28
I did what I could even thought I was good until I figured a little help wouldn't hurt
But what I didn't know was asking messed up the flow Boy, they treated me like dirt
They had so much riches galore, I just want to touch
Could they not even spare a dime let alone a little of their time using fame as their crutch
I had to go it alone nobody to help me on the phone I had to go it all alone
At first I didn't have the faith saying so many prayers starting at the eighth
But as I started to grow people let me know I was all I needed to glow
Mama, they all told me no when I had nowhere else to go Just wanting to belong and for people to hear my song
Mama, they all told me to go didn't care that they hurt me so I prayed to God up above that somebody would show me love
I wonder if they remember me Are they still too busy that they can't see I know i still find the time to stop and say hello or have a glass of wine
I remember the ones who cared even those who laughed or even just stared What happened to me will happen again I just hope the road won't be as hard but there'll be a happy end © 2010 TTBoy28Featured Review
