I Could Shed A Tear

I Could Shed A Tear

A Poem by TTBoy28

I could shed a tear
but what would
it mean
As fog invades my
vision
the wipers are there
to clear the way
With age
there may be sound
that causes a
stir
And as frustration
sets in so does
the fear
that change is necessary
But I could shed a tear
but what would
it mean
without sound
I could look away
though you may see it
as a tease
As the water flows
so does that from
my nose
that shows
what grows from the many
blows
I have taken and
given
and given
and taken
To wear my heart
on my sleeve
is just one way to
grieve
and believe
that a piece of tissue
could miss you
more than
a fond "God Bless You"
after an "achoo"
So what else
can one do
to remain true
Maybe I should just
go green
would that be so mean
But I could shed a tear
but would it be
seen
Yell at me and I
may flinch
Touch me and I
may feel a pinch
Yes, all this in a
cinch
as fists clinch
and underwear
drench
with stench
But I may shed a tear
that will cause you
to fear
and steer
clear away from me
my dear
It's just a matter
of time
that this action
becomes sublime
with a scheme that will
rhyme
Shucking and jiving
in hopes of thriving
behind a pool
of drool
that houses experiences
like a school
To graduate to stern
as colorful as a fern
No buds to bloom
As is
nothing to assume
So, I could shed a tear
...but what would it mean
