Alone, he thought he heard

Alone, he thought he heard

A Poem by TTBoy28

As the dreams came
there brought a lift
Each color the same
what for was this gift

Eyes wide aglow
mind clear as a whip
Eardrums like water flow
Yet audible a quip

Alone, he thought he heard
a voice unlike any other
A sound of not just one word
with the firmness of a mother

Obedience set the stage
while Patience lied in wait
Could this have come with age
As time told of not too late

Though nothing was before him
What left was all behind
As feelings of a light so dim
all became goodness and kind

Where fear had reared its monstrous head
Gone were anger and self-pity
Love not seen through dreams in bed
But from a tone full of clarity
