Sleepy Me

Sleepy Me

A Poem by TTBoy28

 Sleep

Sleepy Me

The kind of death

that upstages my beautiful eyes

with my billowy snowy locks

that held me in place for years

The kind of death

that wills me to rise perpetually

to witness my own reflection in

a mirror of someone else’s illusion

Sleep

Sleepy Me

Sleep

until the bow breaks and the earth

shakes

cracking the glass that reveals what

stands behind me

Until it can do it no more

And I can be no more

but yet captured in time

at that time

Befriending Time

for Love

for Sorrow

And for another moment in time

while Sleepy Me

Sleeps
