The DrinkA Poem by TTBoy28
In the building
coming and going as I please There is always a willing opening beckoning me Glasses aren't always necessary even after the cork is pulled Insatiable bubbly frothy froth on me As I am no one questions my sincerity Can I withstand everyone's turn like a ferris wheel patron eating pork and beans? Passionate pleas to the creator as I fail to securely damn my own Who of the two came and went as they pleased Tasting the drink that kept them drunk with delusions And as payment is made the ferris-wheel continues to go round and round and pork and beans are served on their own plate And their shirt sleeves and lapels serve as napkins sometimes three and four times a confession © 2012 TTBoy28 |
