Sorry mom

Sorry mom

A Poem by Josephine
"

Its just a rant basically

"

I know you see it differently than I do…

But I’m still here, mom, and I can feel it too

I know it hurts, but you’ve been strong

You’ve seen us through all the wrongs

Don’t give up on me now

I’m still your baby girl, with the curly hair

I still love you more than anything in the entire world

I’ve made some bad choices

But I’m still the same

Please, mom, don’t turn away

I may have a different life

But I still want you by my side

Even though we never see eye to eye

I know one day I’ll make you proud

I’ll be the daughter you always bragged about

Aw. I relate to this on so many levels. It's so sad and beautiful. I would spice it up a bit with fancier words, i think. And I would take out "always" from the last line. I think there would be a better flow in the end. More of a simple punch at the end. But otherwise, brillant.
