the Sunny guy.A Story by TariqI'm happy, so i decided to tell the world in a small story. I wasn’t that kind of guy who spent his day on the
phone, telling people how harsh and unfair life is. I’ve always been a bit of
optimistic. It really came naturally to me. It was implanted deep down in my
genes. My mother, father and grandfather all have always been this kind of people
who would keep on searching for the bright side of things, and if it didn’t
exist, they’d create it. They were just like that and their friends could not
help but go mad at them for their Pollyanna attitude. Do you get what I mean? Like
for example, during my fifth grade end of year exams. I was sitting at this
small desk, bending forward on the math paper. Everyone around me was like, “what
the hell is that? We didn’t study those things before.” And I was like, “ oh,
at least we get to learn something new.” I kept on smiling at every frowning
face that looked at me. I simply couldn’t help being anything else but a sunny
mate. People came out of the exam
either crying or frowning and I was the only student who came bouncing down the
stairs with this natural smile of mine, happy that it was eventually summer. I simply forgot all about the
difficult exam and my mind started exploring all the new experiences that I’ll
be having this summer. Although some students gave
me the finger as I smiled at them, I did not care. Nothing can bring me down. © 2010 TariqReviews
