I got a text from my best friend saying he almost died and I was just so scared that I started shaking and crying. I've never been that scared in my life.

"Taylor, I almost died!!!"

Oh my God.

"Are you okay???????"

A minute passes.

No reply.

I call him.

No answer.

"I can't talk right now."

"Are you okay????"

Is he avoiding my question on purpose?

Is he not okay?

Five minutes pass.

Ten minutes.

"Jesse????????"

I wait.

"Yes, yes, yes.

I promise.

I'm sorry I couldn't talk on the phone."

Is he okay?

How could he be?

He almost died!

I swear to God,

If you go and get yourself killed,

I'll bring you back to life and kill you.
