Do the World a Favor

Do the World a Favor

A Poem by Kiara

I keep glancing down at my chest,
Shocked every time I see there's no knife.
I feel the invisible blade,
Hot as fire,
Cold as ice.
Every time I move, it shifts deeper.
Tears cascade down my cheeks,
Hot as fire,
Cold as ice.
He would be the one to wipe them away,
But now I see how he truly feels.
"Why don't you do the world a favor and go die."
I could listen to him....
I could do the world a favor....
I could let the blood pour out of me,
Hot as fire,
Cold as ice.

Wow. The last verse scared me. Please, if you really want the world to be a better place, don't listen to him!!
You have more to offer the world with breath in ur lungs than with you do six feet below ground level.

Its an awesome write. I love the dialogues and the repititions were perfect! WRITE ON!!
