I miss you,

Just like always.

My friends always describe their perfect guy

And today we watched part of The Notebook.

I realized how lucky I am to have you.

We fight a lot

And it's usually my fault,

But I never want to hurt you.

You're so sweet and deserve so much better,

But here you are, with me.

I remember when Comet died

And you were so upset.

I didn't know what to do

But I would have done anything to cheer you up.

I remember you driving me home the day after prom.

I remember knowing how long it would be until I saw you again.

And I remember seeing you cry because of that,

And it made me love you so much more.

I know those tears were real.

I know how you feel is real.

I have a hard time accepting it,

But deep down I know.

I know I'm not perfect.

I know I'm not even close,

But I know you see something that I don't.

I know that when I look into your eyes,

I see something no one else does.

I see all the small things,

The bits and pieces that make you who you are.

I see your favorite band and where you're ticklish.

I see that sadness in your eyes that tells me we don't have forever.

I see that adoration for me that I can't even believe.

I see the life you are capable of living.

 

I see you.
