The Outcast

The Outcast

A Poem by Kiara

I'm tired of being alone,

All my friends seeming to desert me.

I don't want to be the person at lunch

With no one to sit.

I don't want to be the person in class

Stuck with the teacher as my partner

And sitting in the desk at the back

Because the rest of them are full.

I don't want to be the one

That no one sees in the hallways.

I don't want to be the one

That always walks alone,

That people are too scared to approach.

I'm tired of being the outcast,

But I know that's all I'll ever be.
